Seven Things I Wish I Knew Before Going Carnivore

When I started carnivore, I didn’t prepare. I jumped in out of necessity. But there are things that

would have saved me stress, confusion, and discomfort in the beginning.

These are the seven lessons I learned the hard way.

  • Choose fatty cuts of meat
  • Keep bone broth ready
  • Use electrolytes when diarrhea or palpitations appear
  • Run labs every 6–12 months
  • Stay hydrated
  • Expect loose stools in the first week
  • Find some form of support

Carnivore isn’t complicated, but the transition can be. Most early challenges are normal and

temporary. Preparation doesn’t eliminate the adjustment period, but it removes the fear.

If I had known these seven things earlier, my first week would have been far easier.
